sainsburys is selling meridian almond butter (and cashew butter too) for only £2 again which is at least 40p off it’s regular price and a whole pound off you’d pay at whole foods/planet organic or rip off merchants holland and barrett
id really recommend it because
1) it’s 100% nuts with no added vegetable or palm oil which is really what you’d expect from a nut butter when you buy it but it’s shocking how difficult that actually is to get. even ‘whole earth’ peanut butter which sounds oh so natural and virtuous but has added palm oil >:-(
2) it’s really luscious and yummy and delicious and less stiff than other (pea)nut butters ive bought. it’s not runny or thin, it’s just…..divine instead - it’s hard to explain!
3) good to eat when you want all the calories and nice fats of nuts but aren’t up to eating like….25 almonds or something - have it with dates, apples or bananas or put it in a smoothie
anyway yeh go buy it! this is a boring post but I’m just so happy and surprised it was on sale because I wanted to buy it anyway
